Glass Gem Suncatchers
Greetings- this is your unfaithful Cap'n Mad Ellen broadcasting live (barely) from an undisclosed tropical paradise! Our vacation lasted longer than expected. Let's get down to business!
Glass Gem Suncatchers:
(source: http://kidsactivitiesblog.com/16045/glass-gem-sun-catcher-craft)
-recycled plastic lids (such as those found on yogurt containers)
-clear, flat bottomed glass gems (In any color as long as you see through them when held up to light. Glass gems are available at Dollar Tree/Store, any craft store and many large retailers such as Walmart.)
-glass beads: bugle, seed, etc.
-sea glass
-lots of clear glue!
-fishing line or similar to hang the suncatchers
The directions state that the suncatchers should be set aside to dry 3-4 days but we strongly suggest 5-7 days. You can use most any type of glass craft item as long as you can see light through it. To test, hold the gem, bead, etc. up to the light.
Happy Sails!
~Cap'n Mad Ellen~
Cost: ø (a hearty thank you to the craft barrels below deck!)
