Rainstick

Cost: $o

Need: 

• cardboard tube (long, sturdy ones work best) * see my note below
• Aluminum Foil 
• watered down Glue or Mod Podge
• coloured tissue paper
• nails or tacks
• filler: rice, corn kernels, small buttons, pony beads etc
• decorative paper to line the rainstick 
• stickers, rhinestones, ribbon/yarn, to decorate (optional)

Notice how I covered  the rainstick end with more decorative paper then taped the ends securely; wrapping well with yarn and sequin ribbon on top and bottom.

*Note: fill up the rainstick no more  than half full.  We skipped adding the broken up pieces of toothpicks, the white plastic shelf holder things (has a name but forgot!), pennies.
